About Wieder Law
& Mediation

Choosing how to resolve a dispute is an important decision.

Working with the right person to guide that process matters just as much.

At Wieder Law and Mediation, the focus is on helping individuals, families, and business professionals across New York & New Jersey move through conflict with clarity, structure, and a more controlled approach.

Whether you’re navigating a divorce or a business dispute, mediation provides a way to resolve matters without unnecessary escalation, delay, or cost.

Appointments are available in person or via video conference, depending on your preference.

About the Mediator

Howard Wieder, Esq. is a licensed attorney and trained mediator with a calm, balanced, and resolution-focused approach.

Throughout his legal career, Howard has focused on transactional work – the kind of work that requires people to identify common ground, address important details, and develop agreements that can actually work in real life.

That perspective shapes his approach to mediation.

Howard helps both parties better understand the issues in front of them, express their needs productively, and consider possible solutions without allowing the conversation to become focused on blame or escalation.

His goal is not to determine a winner or a loser. It is to create a structured environment where both sides can communicate more clearly and work toward an agreement they can live with.

Howard has completed mediation training through the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation and the Long Island Dispute Resolution Center. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association.

His approach is grounded in professionalism, reliability, trust, and a genuine commitment to helping people move forward with greater clarity.
